The Austrian Federal Office for Food Safety is the official body for seed certification in Austria.
The Austrian Federal Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water Management lays down the seed control and certification regulations for following species or mixtures :
• Cereal including maize and sorghum
• Fodder plants
• Oil and fiber species
• Beet
• Vegetables
• Grasses
• Legumes
