The official body responsible for seed certification the Czech Republic is the Division of Seed and Planting Materials - Odbor osiv a sadby within the Central Institute for Supervising and Testing in Agriculture - Ústřední kontrolní a zkušební ústav zemědělský (ÚKZÚZ) which is established by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Czech Republic.
Activities of that division are defined by the Act N° 219/2003 Coll., on the marketing of seed and planting material of cultivated plants, as last amended, and by Regulations N° 384/2006 Coll. and as last amended.
