The Ente Nazionale Sementi Elette (ENSE) is the official body for seed certification in Italy. By appointment of the Ministry (MIPAF) it carries out checks, seed testing and certification activity according to national, community and international regulations ruling this matter on the following species :
•Cereals (including maize and sorghum),
•Oil and fibre species,
•Fodder plant,
•Beet,
•Potatoes,
•Vegetables.
